Friday night picnic

We had another picnic at the park, but this time Todd came too. The first highlight was finding a grasshopper on the picnic bench. Paxton is too scared to touch it so he got a stick and still would only pretend to touch it with the stick. Caleb loved watching the bikers go by and just say on the table watching (and eating our food). We also saw a helicopter right above us, and Paxton kept running from far away into Todd's arms. He got really sweaty because of it. I can't believe it is still in the 80's here and we are able to do things like this and not be cold.

Picnic at the Park

Todd went camping the other night, so the boys and I decided to have a picnic at the park. We went and bought a sandwich before hand and enjoyed the cooler weather. Paxton got to feed the ducks (only a little bit since we used part of the bread off the sandwich). Caleb sat in the stroller just sucking his thumb most of the time. He loved Paxton getting his head through the little peep hole. He also loved the mini oreos that Pax fed him. We are going to have to do this more often since it was so nice.

Fairytale Town

One of Paxton's favorite things to do at Fairtale Town is water the plants. He was doing a really good job of not getting his feet wet. He is starting to figure out that he should water the plants that aren't drowning in water from other kids.

Did you know that you can update your blogger and it makes it so much easier to post now? You can also arrange your pictures easily and enlarge them as well, so I am playing around with it.

Baseball game

Todd won 2 tickets to the River Cats game from his work back in August. We all were going to go, but Todd got sick so Pax and I went on a date to the game. He was ready to leave before it even began.

I tricked him into staying by buying him a sno cone (which are not good when you have previously been spoiled by Matsumoto’s). He was happy and paid attention to the game for a little bit and then we saw Dinger the mascot. The rest of the night was spent keeping an eye out for him. Dinger had a spider on a fishing pole and was dangling it near fans and Paxton was getting a kick out of it.

We ended up giving up on watching the game and walked around to try to find Dinger. Paxton was thrilled when we found him and got to give him a high five.

Zoo with my parents

My parents came to visit for 2 days and we went to the zoo, to the splash park, out to eat, on walks. Here are some pictures from the zoo.

Paxton saw the giraffes licking wood poles so he decided to try it out on the fence. Also, Pax and my mom could have watched the monkeys for forever. They loved watching them.

Caleb standing

Caleb has been crawling for 2 months now and has been pulling himself up on things for almost a month now. Here he is using me to stand up after playing in water with Paxton. (None of Paxton since he was in his birthday suit).

I have lots to catch up on

We have had lots of fun this summer. We went out to Colorado for a family reunion up in the mountains. It was fun to spend time with cousins, sisters, mom & dad, grandparents, etc. I love being around family. Todd even let it spill that he would be open to the idea of moving to Colorado (which probably wouldn't happen for years but it still makes me excited)! Todd has a history of altitude sickness while in CO, but the past 2 times has been fine!

We did lots of fun things like playgrounds, boating, horseback riding, riding the alpine slide, rodeo, swimming, bike riding, shopping, talking, eating awesome food and just hanging out! It makes me wish that everyday could be like that.

I took like 500 pictures while we were there and haven't really gone through any of them so I'm just going to throw a couple of them up for now. It really is too much work for me to go through them right now. So there's like 5. I'll do more later.

Guess who's...

(pretty much) potty trained!

Funny dance moves

27 seconds is his new move. No idea where he learned it from but it is pretty hilarious. It makes me laugh everytime I see it.

Fun

Paxton is playing with Caleb more and Caleb always smiles at him and thinks he is pretty dang cool.

Pax photoshoot

I found a cool place to take pictures today. These were some I took of Pax. He doesn't like to smile for the camera, and is super cheesy when he does.

Pax turns 2

I can't believe Paxton is two years old. Time really does fly and before we know it he will be driving.
Oh wait he already is driving. He calls this his bus. (BTW I got this for free off of craigslist. Besides the peeling stickers it's in excellent condition and even came with a cell phone.)

He had a fun birthday day. He woke up and got chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Then we went to Funtastic (indoor play place) and made a stop for french fries on the way home. He topped it off with some presents and cards and ice cream treats last night. We had a party while my parents were here 2 weekends ago. I still need to blog about that.

Paxton is so fun. He is talking more and can tell me what is going on most of the time. He loves playing outside, loves cars, motorcycles, buses, boats, all transportation. He is so nice to Caleb when he pays attention to him which isn't often. But when he does he goes right up to his face and says "Hi babyyyyy" and gives him a kiss while saying muah!

He tries to count and we know he can count to 3. He knows his colors sometimes. It's hard to tell if he knows them or if he's a really good guesser. For awhile everything was yellow, but he surprises me by pointing to things and saying blue or red and being correct. He likes to dance and loves music and instruments. He also likes to sing (I need to post a video). He has a very bad temper when his toys fall over or don't do what he wants them to do. He then screams and yells and throws them across the room, slams doors, hits walls, etc. And no he has not learned this from anyone in our family haha, but Todd used to do the same thing when he was a little boy too. I'm hoping he quickly outgrows this. He loves to be chased and really is just happy the majority of the time.

I love him so much and I'm so glad he's in our family. He is the best little two year old I could ask for. I look forward to all of the years we still have together.

Playing together

I asked Paxton if he would show Caleb a toy so he got lots of little toys and laid down to play with him. This doesn't happen that often so I love how I got this picture of them together.

Caleb thinks I'm awesome
